How do I fix "IP NOT FOUND"
Hi, aiden ZHENG - sounds like you're having trouble with Minecraft Edu? What's going on? Where are you seeing this message? How can we help? What details can you give me, like what kind of device are you on, and what screen are you seeing? (don't give any personal info like logons.)
Hello! I was wanting to play with my sister Today but it said IP not found so I tried to do something to fix it but it still didn't work and that's basically it
And i've seen some help from here but I don't know where the search engine is
There is a Search Bar at the top if you want to search the Forum. Or you can go to your sign in to submit a help request.
What is the situation? Are you and your sister on the same LAN or WiFi? Have you been able to join eachother's worlds in the Past?
Are you trying to join using the join code or a link or the ip address and port? FYI if you are not on the same LAN/Wifi then the IP address shown on your computer screen when opening up the world for hosting a multiplayer world won't work. That IP address shown on the screen is the internal IP address of the Local area network or wireless area network and will only allow others on that same network to connect provided the computer firewall settings allow it.
If you are not on the same network (at the same location) you will need to make sure that the Hosting computer has port forwarding set up in their router or with their internet service provider. And then provided you are on the same tenet (have the same ending after the @ in your sign in email) you should hopefully be able to use the Join code to play multiplayer. Otherwise you may need the hosting player to do a search of what is my IP to find out what their current public IP address is.
Okay I don't know how but I fixed it
