Good news, Gideon! Many organizations may now be able to enroll and use Minecraft EDU!

I will paste the link with more information for you. Here you go:

Yes, I did read your post. :) You will need a special account to play more than the trial.

We are in the same situation. I would like to do some programming with my son in the Mindcraft education edition during the summer. We've done some hours of code but we want to be able to really build things and such. My son is a rising 6th grader therefore he is not affiliated with any school at the moment. I even went as far to start a microsoft 365 trial and i still cannot gain access to Mindcraft education. I tried all the links for parents and they always directed me to a an error page or a dead-end. What am I missing here? It is very confusing. There are materials for parents but no way to gain access. We are not part of any homeschool group. Just a parent who tries to teach her own child. How can I gain access? I am willing to pay $12 that i read somewhere but have never come across that option. Thanks.

I signed into the microsoft 365 account and do not see a Setup link as described here:

I also looked under the Services and Subscription link, I do not see any options related to Mindcraft. Nate Mackie

I know that it came with an installation page for it but can't seem to find it yet. Anyways, I am still only able to play demo lessons for now. But I prefer normal Minecraft since it's more updated than Education Edition, which is still in village and pillage. Plus, I'm in 4th grade, even in homeschool I have no idea what is happening. 😿

    Hello there,
If you talk to Minecraft Education institutions, maybe they can open a temporary demo account for you.

I hate that I can't use my personal account, because that's basically my only Minecraft account, and I don't even know how to make a school account because I'm the only one learning. More help please?

Also what's the camps and clubs update?

Hay Everyone who is trying to figure out how to get access to Minecraft Education Edition.  It can be done (keep in mind that you won't be able to play multiplayer unless you buy multiple licenses for your group and have multiple people in your group.)  Anyway, you need to go to Microsoft and buy a subscription to Microsoft 365 for education and from the administration account in Microsoft 365 for education you can set up and assign licenses to your faculty and students.

Users with this issue should submit a ticket at https://aka.ms/MEE_New_Request where we can ensure that you have a license for Minecraft: Education Edition. Generally, when we see this error the tenant is not signed up for Minecraft: Education Edition.
