Is there a way to enable bonus chests in minecraft education?

As far as I know, there are only activate cheats, code builder and always day options. So as long as you don't just go in creative and put a chest with stuff, no there isn't a way to.

You could put an NPC at the world spawn point who gives players supplies to start out with, with some directions for what to expect or do. But like Bartu said you'll need to go in creative first and set that up. Would give every player the items using an NPC instead of just setting up 1 chest though!

when i when to how to play and to options and cheats they said you can get a bonus chest when i went to the settings there was no bonus chest

In MEE I think the only way to do it would put an NPC at the world spawn point who gives players supplies to start out with, with some directions for what to expect or do. You'll need to go in creative first and set that up. Every player who joins could get the items from the NPC before they start their adventure or building.
