Minecraft: Education Edition Chromebook Controller Support
Hi there,
I am working with students who are accessing Minecraft: Education Edition on their Chromebooks. Some of them would like to play using their Xbox One and Playstation 4 controllers, but we are having some technical diffucluties. The PS4 controllers seem to work fine wirelessly, but the Xbox controller keeps disconnecting. We have conntected via a USB-C --> USB-A cable to resolve that issue, but when we do it doesn't seem like the game recngnizes that a controller is connected. The buttons all do things, but they don't match the actions that are mapped in the controller settings. Right trigger, for example, is supposed to attack, but it instead makes the character look down. The character also automaticaly looks to the sky and spins around repeatedly without any buttons being pressed on the controller.
Help!

Hi there Bradley Ogasawara. Thanks for contacting us here. While the game sometimes accepts using the controller, the game does not fully support controllers, and this can lead to the controls being buggy and non-responsive. I apologize for the inconvenience here.

KABIR SHAIKH What Andrew mentioned applies towards any controller, including Nintendo controllers. Even if they work in some scenarios, they may not work for everything, like codebuilder.
