CarrieD thank you for this my team is super happy. a couple questions we had were
How do we put settings into a npc on a laptop? and when is the new update coming out? our project is a lord if the rings/hobbit styled adventure but to do certain things you have to answer certain educational problems.And lastly is it possible to put texture packs on minecraft edu. have a good day -JamieBuzz 21

We don't have a release date for the next update for Minecraft: Education Edition, but we appreciate your patience in the meanwhile! M:EE is also not compatible with skin or texture packs.
In regards to your NPC question, I recommend checking out coding forum, there are lots of interesting projects that get posted about there that might help you out. Have a great day!
