Mobs pathfind around border blocks
It would be wonderful if mobs could recognize and pathfind around border blocks. At the moment, I have a woodland world with borders keeping students on the paths to the sites they're visiting. The cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, and horses wandering around the world can't cross the border blocks, but they also can't recognize they're there and keep trying to move forward, with the result that the woodland paths are now bordered by bouncing animals. The woodland creature raves are funny, but not great for immersion.

Did you find a way to fix the animal issue? I have the same issue with horses not wandering freely, but all stuck in one corner area.

Might be possible to set up a /execute command and teleport certain mobs (which are technically entities) to another location outside of the border blocks if they wander into a certain radius.
Let me play round with that this summer and I will let you know if I figure out a work around.
