Haven't heard about issues from the chromebook side yet.

I would recommend as just a general precaution, exporting the students worlds after every build session and amending the filename with a version number. This ensures that if there is a building accident (/fill command wipes out a structure, lightning strike on a TNT block), file corruption, or device issue that the student has a progressive backup of their project/world to Google or OneDrive which they can import from. This has saved a few of the students on my board from losing work.

In regards to the chromebook itself, is this occurring on a lot of Chromebook or just one?

Most issues with Chromebooks I find are resolved by the following:

    1) Shutting down the unit and powering it back up. Frequently student just shut the lid, and it may be months in between proper power cycles. So make sure the student is selecting "Shutdown".

    2) Making sure the unit is up to date with updates. Click on Settings>About Chrome OS and update, then restart when prompted.

    3) The chromebook may be running out of storage space. Our board usually wipes profiles on an annual basis. It's possible the device doesn't have any room left and strange behaviour on the devices part can occur due to this.

Hope one of these suggestions helps.
