Thank you for your question! Currently Minecraft: Education Edition does not support textures, mods, or any other downloadable add-ons. The team is always looking for new ways to improve the game and the developers are aware of this request from our user base. If we ever have more information on the subject we will make sure to post it to the official website!

Great question, it is just not an officially supported feature. There are work arounds and ways but we here at the team do not officially support downloadable content into Minecraft: Education Edition. They are not supported because we have had some students download packs that came from third parties which had viruses in them which then infected school networks. So just as an extra precaution for our schools we just currently do not support them.

Texture Packs are available on Minecraft Education Edition. I use them all the time on my MacBook Air, and one of my worlds is requires a texture pack to make sense. In order to download a texture pack for MacBook Air, you could do what I do and go to mcpedl.com and click texture packs to see what you need. You may need to be careful though, since some of the texture packs have not been updated in a while. Once you download the texture pack, just click it, make sure to open it with Minecraft, and the import will start. Sometimes it won't work, so just refresh your file and try again. Hope this helps.

Add shades, too. Maybe like the most easy way could be a button in the video where you can turn on shaders and textures?

It will just be nice, seeing the minecraft world like true reality.

add Skin editor and also, why not have a virus blocker or something? Or do a age verification thing.

I mean texture packs have a actual use: making minecraft look better. I mean like cooler-type a bit different than what minecraft usually looks like.

I play on iPad and I get really frustrated because the pack I want is for 1.14, I play on 1.14, but it still sais import failed and when I click on it it sais “unknown pack name, unknown pack ID, version, etc”. Whyyyyyy
