Thanks for reaching out to us today. A regular Office 365 or Microsoft account is not allowed to be used to log into Minecraft: Education Edition. Your school/district has to have a valid Office 365 Education account they they set up and gave out to students and teachers. You can always log into our official website with your Microsoft or Office 365 accounts, but unless your school specifically set you up with an account and a license for the game you will not be able to login.

Hi, thanks for the answers. Access was granted as an extra gift by the local government that went with the O365 subscription around April timeframe (this year). I could log in earlier, but my old laptop crashed. I'm trying to install it now on a new laptop, and access here is not working.

Is there a way to check license / eligibility from user standpoint?

Hi balint_anna, go ahead and open a ticket with support and we can take a look at the account you trying to login with.  From what you are describing, it sounds like the organization that issued the account to you will need to reset your password.  You can open a ticket by clicking your profile picture in the top right of the page and selecting "Submit Help Request."
