Command block + button to summon students' agents?
I'm building a world with coding challenges built in for students to progress through the world. I'd like to code a command block under a redstone lamp so that students can press a button to summon their agent to the red square it needs to start on for each puzzle, rather than have students typing their own commands into the console.
Consulting with other mentors, they suggested that to summon the agent to the red square, I use "execute @p COORDS_RED_SQUARE summon agent ~ ~ ~", but that didn't work. I just got "failed to execute summon as SarahE" in the command block output.
Can anyone help?

Thanks for reaching out to us with this. I have seen it come up a few times on the forums. Currently in the game neither NPCs or command blocks can interact with user agents. I know the dev team has seen the posts on this and they are constantly working on ways to add more features, but as of now they will not connect with each other.

Okay. So in the Coding Fundamentals lessons, for example (https://education.minecraft.net/lessons/pandas-protected-habitat), my agent spawns in exactly where it's supposed to be when each new section of coding lesson starts. Does this mean that's something that can only be done on the back end?

Good morning Sarah! Those are specifically coded by our development team so there may be items in their that are custom to that build.

Thanks for that. Just so I know I fully understand, are my options that a) I can allow students access to commands to summon their agent, or b) I have to let students know to use the agent teleport command first before the code to complete the coding puzzle?
