in the new version when I try to enter it says "it is not possible to connect to this service at the moment"

I am having the exact same problem! I’ve deleted all other versions only leaving the Minecraft Edu desktop app, and it still comes up with the “Sign-in required” issue, if anyone could give a clear Andy that would be very nice.

My sister cant login to Minecraft edu it says “we can’t connect to the service you need right now. Please check your internet connection and try again” and it’s been like that for almost two months we made sure she only has one Minecraft file what should we do now

The literal same thing has been happening to me for 5 MONTHS NOW, i know crazy? What are the admins doing about this? Nothing! Nothing i say! adam hasn't replied to anyone and im starting to go crazy. Im guessing this is about the new version, we might be saved from this when the caves and cliffs update comes out, but that'll be in months. For now we will have to keep staring at this screen :(

Hey, I dont know if this will help, but I had the same problem myself and I might have an answer to it. So, I was reading this forum and since I really got no information, (I am on chromebook by the way) and I went into the app, and then I had the text box on my screen, and I disconnected from my wifi, went back and clicked sign in, then I went back into my wifi and it took me to the page where I can sign in, I hope this helps!

This also happened to me multiple times and I tried installing and uninstalling it. (I'm on Windows btw.) Then I logged out of my school account and logged back in. I ran the app first thing and it worked.

Hi there Anderson Santos Pereira. Generally, when there is a message regarding being unable to connect to the service, it is because there are two versions of Minecraft: Education Edition installed on your device. I recommend checking your app list to see if you have multiple instances of M:EE installed.

I have a different issue where when in the play store and in the game I cant see my cursor and have to use TAB and ENTER to navigate but I cant join any worlds

i found out how to fix it for windows users
click stoarage settings
click Apps & Features 
if yours work it should look like mine after you search minecraft,if it looks like mine and doesnt work download minecraft then it should pop up then click uninstall on the new minecraft1 -

are you using windows 10? and is this happening at home or at school? if it is happening at home i have a fix, and i dont know if it will work for at school.
then type in add or remove programs, press enter and this should pop up
after this window appears, search in the bar minecraft, and click the minecraft education edition icon. then press uninstall.
if a prompt appears after pressing uninstall click uninstall, and then click yes on the next prompt. now follow the rest of the pictures and your mincraft should be fixed!
and then you are done!
