Custom Player Skins
Request: 2018 is the year that Minecraft Education provides skins that help make Minecraft represent everyone. Wheelchair character skins, amputee skins (possible robotic limbs) and I'm sure with Microsoft's awesome history in this area more inclusionary skins can be identified. This would be a big announcement and any technical or artistic hurdles are worth the time and effort. There's a lot of pride and love that goes with an update like this.
Response: Minecraft: Education Edition is currently not compatible with mods. All worlds that have been approved for use with Minecraft: Education Edition can be found on our lessons page and in the Library in-game. However, it is possible to create custom resource packs for the game to change many aspects of the game. Take a look at this video from one of our amazing mentors to learn more about using resource packs with Minecraft: Education Edition: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqFw0pf3Tkw&t=5s
This is in an effort to keep the education environment safe for all. Our development team is actively researching more skins to include. We'd love to hear your constructive thoughts below. Why are you interested in this feature, and what is the impact on your current teaching situation?

You Can Add Custom Skins To Minecraft: Education Edition. Just Go To The Skindex and cdsmythes website.
This Will Help.
Oscar those do not work for Minecraft Education Edition. If you want some info on how to do it safely without wrecking your game and it crashing, go to the links below. (btw EduElfie's ones might be confusing, but they are the best ones.)

Custom skins are already possible. Check out this page for info on how to do so.
Keep in mind that you will need a computer or laptop to do this (you can still send the skin to an iPad afterward) and the site is not written with education edition in mind.
In the folder structure, ignore com.mojang and skin_packs, as those are only in standard bedrock edition. The my_skin_pack folder name is only an example and you can name the folder whatever you want. When you are finished with the skin pack, zip the my_skin_pack folder. This zipped folder should now show as being named “my_skin_pack.zip”. If it doesn’t, go into your computer settings and turn on “show file extensions”. Now rename the zipped folder to “my_skin_pack.mcpack”. Your computer might warn you that the file can corrupt. It won’t.
If the game is on that computer: simply double click the file and it’ll automatically import
If the game is on an iPad: Upload the file to google drive, open google drive on the iPad, tap the file, tap the three dots in the top-right corner, choose “open in”, choose Minecraft.

I am playing Minecraft Education Edition for 1 year and I have been playing Minecraft Java Edition for 6 months . I have noticed that there are custom skins in java but not in education . I have played the trial for bedrock and we can add custom skins in it . education edition's layout is based on the bedrock edition . so please give us an option to add custom skins and mods . I have also noticed that education edition is 2 step behind java and bedrock edition in updates . Can you add an option to change the version of education and please update the version of education as cave update is gonna come and my friends who don't have java or bedrock are crying because they don't have the nether update in education . please add the nether update in education . I hope you see my request and add the following things I said . We would be pleased if you update our version of Minecraft and add custom skinsthe education edition is 1 step behind java and bedrock edition . I mistakenly said 2 step behind0 -
Anh Luong thanks for your feedback! You can see others who are discussing this suggestion as well.

Experimental Gameplay / Minecraft Education Edition Mods
FOLLOWAlex Stivenline- Edited
I would really like for MEE to support Experimental GamePlay. It would really help me as a Minecraft Modder. Many People are asking me to make mods in MEE but every time I test them they don't work. This would really be helpful to add. Also, students could make their own mods which might spice up the game a bit.

Hello,
MEE is a great tool and resource !
My wishlist:
More skin options and a skin editor would be great, so that the students could customize the characters, to look like themself.
Also an official channel where we could download Texture packs and Shader packs for MEE. Depending on the type lesson it would be helpful to change the look of the game with textures. If the channel/ page is supported it would be "safe" for the users.

Yeah sure I bet that you're not even the real person and this is just an autoreply because it's been 2 YEARS and there are still none of your promised features. Don't just say you'll do something and then not care enough to actually do it. So many students want custom skins and features and you say that you're going to add them, but you're too lazy to actually do it. I don't know if you've ever played Java minecraft, but it's infinitly better than education edition already so the LEAST you could do is hear us out and fufill your promises.
It is NOT an autoreply, I know it has been like three years, but they DIDN'T promise, Kyle just had said he would add something to someone's post, that's all he said. If you look in other posts in the community you will see that there are many posts realted to custom skins, and if you look at those posts and look at certain comments from the Minecraft Education team or whatever, you will see what I am kinda trying to make a point out of. They don't allow the feature because it allows players to create something not appropriate for school, too wild, innapropriate all together, etc.

I know where to get free skins it’s in mcpedl.com

That doesn't work for Edu! It will sereously slowly start to break the game and then the game will crash, eventually it makes the computer crash. I'm just trying to give you safer ways to do it.
