    Hello Adina Husar,

Thanks for posting. Try allowing the app in your settings: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202491

Hello, I have the same problem. Allowing the app in OSX settings is mandatory in order to install the MC:EE. Why should this help to solve the problem that the MC:EE crashes while trying to start the app? I do not get your point. Please advise.

My guess it has something to do with Microsoft server services interfering with new OSX Catalina security features. I have the feeling it crashes once MC:EE tries to connect to the MS authentication server. I did post a detailed crash report but just got the standard answer from Kyle: "Try allowing the app in your settings". Which does not solve anything, from my understanding.

I never should have updated my OSX to Catalina and stayed with MC:EE 1.12.2. Everything worked. Now it is a hole mess, not usable in class... Sad

    (replying to myself)

I don't know if other people have tried this but I just did and it worked.

My mac was on a very old version (Sierra) and so I updated it to Catalina and it works just fine now. I hope this helps anyone else!
