MEE for Android
Due to the recent spread of covid, the Italian government is making financial contributions to schools to purchase hardware. And I think others will do the same.
The purchase seems to be directed mainly on Android tablets to maximize the distribution of these devices to those families that have no solutions.
Making MEE also available for the Android environment would be a truly valuable choice right now

Minecraft's purpose is to build a better world through the power of play. This means that we need to make Minecraft: Education Edition available on the devices that students use in classrooms. As we are able to solve technical issues for new platforms, we will be happy to release them to customers.

You would only need to add a browser version to play on Chromebooks, however, that was not his question. He was asking about Android tablets.
