    Minecraft: Education Edition is based on Minecraft Bedrock, so is not compatible with the Java-based Mods.  It is possible to use Resource Packs.  Take a look at this video created by a community member for more info:

    This happened to me as well. Before the update came, I STILL had 14 OTHER ADD-ONS. I wonder, why do the developers of Minecraft remove all player's INSTALLED add-ons when the update releases?

    For Minecraft Education, mods are not supported like the other versions. I would put all the mod install files into a folder that you can pull up when a new release comes out.
