Difference between loops

Can anyone explain the difference between the loops called "forever" and "run in background"? I cannot find it in the documentation.

  I found the answer.
  Forever: Repeat the code forever in the background. On each iteration, allow other code ro tun.
  Run in background: Run this code in parallel with the current code.
  
  The answer was in the tooltip in the javascript section of the editor. Looked for it in the documentation.
