MakeCode not connecting to Microsoft: EE
I'm a computer teacher and have a lab full of Mac computers.
However, when using Code Connection with Minecraft and choosing MakeCode my students are unable to get scripts/commands they've built to communicate with their agent inside Minecraft.
They are able to put in their Microsoft username and password to login to Education Edition.
When they copy and paste the ip address (with port 19131) command from Code Connection into Minecraft there is clearly a connection made as the Agent's name gets changed to their username.
However, when students choose MakeCode any scripts/code they complete is not recognized and sent to the agent.
Strangely, when I use my own Microsoft account and the 'Admin' account on the computer (instead of the 'Student' account login) I'm able to get it working most of the time. This to me suggests an issue with using the port, but doesn't explain why the initial connection between Minecraft and Code Connection works properly. I've tried adding a firewall and giving the two programs full connection capability and manually allowing ports to be open through the Mac's terminal but neither have helped.
Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated!

Kyle,
Thank you for sharing the information. I tried a significant amount of different combinations of ideas so it's anybody's guess as to what perfect combination worked for my Mac lab, but I believe manually opening port 19132 was essential in order for my student's to be able to use Code Connection => MakeCode.
I've now got an entire computer lab up and running and my students are buzzing with excitement and engagement.
Thank you
