Hi Aethen, you can get the Mac version on the Minecraft: Education Edition download page.  If you have any issues downloading or installing, feel free to open a ticket with the support desk.  The easiest way to open a ticket is to click on the gear in your post and select Create a ticket.

Every time I try to join a server a message appears that says "unable to connect to world" However every once in a while it will connect and then glitch and crash. Others are also having the same issue

Loren, the 1.12 release should be in your Microsoft Store for Education. Let us know if you're not able to find it there.

Aethen ALDRIN the latest release is 1.12 for Minecraft Education Edition, so at this point there isn't a 1.14 version.

Alex Shein we appreciate your feedback on the Back to School release. The new Multiplayer and Start Screen experiences were designed based on feedback from our Educator community.  We are always open to hear what our users think about our updates and will pass on your feedback to the team.

    Hi,

I like the fact that you can select the Permission Level to Visitor, Member and Operator for Worlds before you Create/Start to play in them.

However - how do you change that Permission Level while you are in World?

I couldn't figure out the / command to use.

    Thank you.

How long will it take for this version to show up in our tenants windows store, so that we can distribute it via SCCM or Intune?

    Thanks

  • Vikram, in game you can press 'ESC' and under the frase 'JOIN GAME' click in the name you want to change.

Marcos: I did know. I wasn't being clear enough.

How do you change the Permission level for more than one player between Visitor and Member?

If I initially have 30 people in my world set to Visitor - how can I then change all of them to be Member?

Is there a / command to do that? If so - what is it?

I don't want to have to change each one individually.

Is it possible to revert back to the older version? I really do not like the new multiplayer system as students in other classes cannot join eachother's world without some sort of digital communication, which isnt allowed at our school. The old multiplayer system was alot simpler and allowed students to quickly and easily join eachother's worlds.

Is there a way I can get Version 1.14 instead of 1.12 on my Mac OS.

I'm gonna say, in my personal opinion, the new update feels too childishly plastic-like. Where's the classic way of connecting to servers? Where is the Bedrock-esque design? Where are the pandas chewing bamboo on the title screen? I'm kind of looking for a way to go back to 1.9, but until then, i'll have to just use... this. But apart from that, good luck with future updates, dev team!

I really don't like the new way to join worlds. It slows down class lessons dreadfully. I used to just tell them to join a specifically named world and they could easily join it at any point in the day to complete a task as long as I left my Minecraft logged in, now they need to get the code - far less convenient.

I also dislike that it no longer automatically logs users out when the app is closed. This causes lots of problems with shared devices in the classroom.

Very disappointed. Far less user friendly for the classroom. I'm now far less likely to use it in the future.

I am not sure if this goes in the Code thread or this one:

We got stuck on the Pyramid tutorial. It seemed like the code didn't work: https://minecraft.makecode.com/examples/agent-pyramid

    My colleague figured it out.

Minecraft Coding Team: You should make a note on this page that you have to put in a number after pyramid in chat mode for the build to work...

    example:

    pyramid 15

    pyramid 13

    pyramid 11

My code was perfect, but nowhere in the instructions did it say that you have to specify the number in chat mode. For a new person, this was totally baffling.
