    Hello ROSE HEALY

Thanks for reaching out to us with this. Have you checked the computers to make sure there is only one version of the game on there? That means no other install files also you cannot have the Windows App version of the game and the Desktop version of the game on the same device, otherwise this type of error message will always happen. You also may want to check to make sure all of the applicable websites for the game are "whitelisted" in your computer's security settings. I will leave a link to that information below. Depending on your school you may need to partner with your IT administrator to help with these settings.

    Hello Hayden Law,

Thanks for posting, the message still means the same exact thing though. You have not fully removed one of your versions. You can submit a request if you would like to further troubleshoot but you're still going to need to remove one of the apps.

I am fairly certain I have removed all remaining apps, I have searched throughout my computer, typed "Minecraft" into the search bar in the Windows-SSD. I have also used the "type here to search" function at the bottom left of my screen next to the windows sign and deleted the app as well as "all related info"

Several of my students are receiving the same message "We can't connect to the service you need right now. Please check your Internet connection and try again."  I also received it on my computer for awhile but it was fixed and I don't know how. What do I tell my students to do?

I'm having same issue! I downloaded for the first time yesterday at home, having loved it at school it worked,I built something awesome, underground horse stable other stuff etc. , but today on my student free day I go to keep building, and I get the message: We cannot connect to the service you need right now check internet etc, I have double and triple checked, I only have one version. My internet is good, I have tried going out of app and going back in, turning off and restarting my whole PC, nothing works. I'm justa 12 year old kid who wants to have fun playing some MEE. Please fix the issue, it is really irritating.

Also, can you play MEE on an Acer Spin 3 laptop? I'm getting one for Xmas to use at high school next year and am hoping I can play MEE on that. Currently I use my Mum's PC. (Windows)

Thanks so much, please fix this devastating issue!

    From Tash

I'm a teacher and many of my students were having the same issue. The error message is absolutely because you have another version on your computer. Delete everything Minecraft, clear your browsers and take out the trash. Then reinstall and it should work. It is a little harder to clean out MAC's because files are hidden in the libraries. You can find that info online. Good luck!

This is the response I got from Minecraft:

Hello I need help every time I go into Minecraft Education Edition this message pops up and says "We can't connect to the service you need right now. Please check your Internet connection and try again." and my friends use the same internet and they can play perfectly fine. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the internet, re downloading and more but still, nothing. please help me with this.

Daniel, try this. It worked for me, I had exactly the same error message. Thanks to AdamS for original advice.

    1. Uninstall Minecraft: Education Edition, exactly one time
    2. Don't install a new Minecraft yet.
    3. Press the Windows button on your keyboard
    4. Type:      minecr
    5. You should see a Minecraft app is still available on your computer
    6. Click on the Minecraft app in your Start menu (see attached image), and it will work fine, no connection errors.
    7. Why? This all happens because there were TWO Minecrafts installed on your PC. There can only be one.

If you complete all of those steps and it still doesn't work, then maybe post back here again.

the same thing is happening to me.

    Please help.

It's saying, "we can't connect to the service you need right now. Please check your internet connection and try again." this is happening every time I try to login. I'm on a Mac and my internet is fine at home and at school but it doesn't work in either places. It also doesn't work while using anyone's phone hotspot data. Why is this happening? My firewall is disabled so it doesn't have anything to do with it, and I'm pretty sure that I only have 1 copy of MEE.

    Please help me.

  • アプリケーションを調べたら2つ存在していました。

    1つを削除することで正常にログインできました。

When I examined the application, there were two.

I was able to log in successfully by deleting one.

Hi, I've got this problem showing up on student chromebooks, but the chromebooks are managed by a school account and the app is sent out via that app. This doesn't happen to all students, but only to some and only sometimes. Not all at the same time. What can I do to remove this problem? When, I don't control what apps are on the chromebooks.
