  Kyle M there is a way a thousand times easier:

   

  step (1) go to :https://www.minecraftskins.com/skin-editor/ make a skin and press download that will download an image 

  step (2) go to https://cdsmythe.com/2020/minecraft-skin-mcpack-creator/ scroll down and put down the image, name and version of ur Minecraft and press submit.

  step (3) enjoy ur skin!!!
