    Hi Nazeer Ali

"installminecraft.ps1" is not an executable (.exe) file, so it won't install.

I think your .zip file is what is meant for a mass deployment through an appliance like SCCM. If your district is not planning to deploy it through your IT department and is letting teachers install it per device, they'll want to download the .exe installer instead for you.

Thank you Dani.  I am using with WDS/MDT for mass deployment.  Just because install bat running the powershell file, powershell window opens and closes immediately without telling me anything.  I ran installminecraft.ps1 from powershell to check for messages and it is saying this file is not digitally signed.

    Hey Nazeer Ali

    No problem!

I left my role in IT, so it's been about a year since I've deployed anything. From what I remember, there's a bunch of other files buried in the .zip and other dependencies you'll need. If you've successfully deployed the program before, you should be able to copy most of the deployment and then switch out the critical new pieces (like the .appx installer). I think the .bat kicked off the installation. I don't remember using the .ps1 file at all.

Sorry, it's been awhile and I don't have access to the deployment server to check anymore!

Let us know if you're still having issues. You can put in a ticket with the support team, or I can see if any of my old colleagues can confirm details for me.

  • Hi Nazeer Ali, do you have Intune to work with? That works fine for deployment.
