Just bumping this up, as we're still an entire school down and no one can access Minecraft Education!

Really are at a dead end here!

From our URL in the error, this is likely due to something blocking the client from launching or authenticating your log in. Here's what generally fixes this error:

    • Ensure Minecraft Education is allowed as an exception through your firewall and antivirus programs.
    • Try uninstalling all copies of Minecraft Education and then reinstall from here.
    • If you're in a school and other computers/logins run into this issue, it could also be a group policy issue. You should reach out to your IT admin to investigate if this is the case.
    • If possible, update your Windows OS to the latest version.

Minecraft Education is allowed; it's always worked previously.

We've uninstalled completely; we've reinstalled the latest and even the beta client - but they all throw up the same error.

We are in a school; all devices are the same. Group policies are being applied obviously across the board, but nothing which should affect the Minecraft install?

Windows 11 22H2 with all the latest updates are installed on the majority of machines - no difference there either I'm afraid.

We have noticed Kerberos errors appearing in the event viewer every time the client opens; could this have something to do with it?

    An example:

A Kerberos error message was received:

    on logon session

     Client Time:

     Server Time: 7:50:52.0000 6/15/2023 Z

    Error Code: 0x7  KDC_ERR_S_PRINCIPAL_UNKNOWN

    Extended Error: 0xc0000035 KLIN(0)

    Client Realm:

     Client Name:

     Server Realm: REDACTED.CO.UK

    Server Name: HTTP/sts.REDACTED.co.uk

    Target Name: HTTP/REDACTED.redacted.co.uk@REDACTED.CO.UK

    Error Text:

     File: onecore\ds\security\protocols\kerberos\client2\kerbtick.cxx

    Line: 1301

Error Data is in record data.

Hope someone can shed some light on this as it's causing a lot of frustration across the board!

    Thanks!
