I teach over 700 students and we ALL have DELL Chromebooks. We have updated Chrome and the Minecraft Education app in Google Play Store. We are all using the same version of Minecraft Education and not on Beta Version and all using the same district wifi network. For some reason...SOME of the students cannot join a peer's world in a group of no more than four students. I have powerwashed their device, shutdown and restart, and checked for updates, and even made sure to put their Minecraft settings to default. After putting in the join code, it just stays on joining Multiplayer message forever before it says connection failed. I also used an ethernet cord and turned off wifi to see if that would help and no luck. It has only happened to a handful of students out of the over 700. I am baffled and our IT dept. could not figure out a solution either. Any advice? I had the student log onto another Chromebook device and install Minecraft app there and still same issue. Even worse...this can change from day to day. Joined yesterday, but today no luck or vice versa...doesn't work one day but then fine the next. Help!
