LAN multiplayer crashes when more than 15 players join to a world
We've been testing Minecraft Education's multiplayer mode in our classroom with 15 students joining to the teacher's world (LAN) and it kept crashing when we tried to connect 10 or more students at the same time.
We're using Minecraft Education v.1.18.45 and all computers (Windows) had the same version installed. The teacher's computer has 8 GB RAM and an Intel i7 processor if it helps (3,4 GHz).
I have read the troubleshooting guides and nothing seems to be wrong with our computers. The firewall is not blocking anything and the versions are up to date.
I suppose it's more of a performance issue, as we may be overloading our network. My question is: does a network switch and some Ethernet cables solve our problem? We don't want to make a huge investment if this doesn't solve this problem. I'm curious how teachers use Minecraft Education multiplayer mode with big groups (20 or more computers) and if they need special equipment to do so.
I have also seen some videos where they recommend port forwarding, is this useful?
Thank you in advance for your support, there's a great community here! :)

Before spending money on network items, first let's check the game itself. This crashing might be due to the render distance setting for the users. Try setting the render distance to its lowest setting for all the users that are joining that world. I hope this helps.
