    Hey there!

Sorry to hear you are running into some issues.

Are you able to work with your schools IT to see if those students still have Minecraft: Education Edition licenses attached to their accounts?

    Let us know!

Everything is automated in our district, so all students should automatically be assigned Minecraft licenses. It's been working flawlessly for about 3-4 years now, and this issue only came up in December. And it's only happening to random kids in each class (usually, it's just a few in each class....less than half a dozen in each class).

Also, many of them are students who have used Minecraft Education Edition before (i.e. they aren't new users)....all of a sudden, it says that their trial has expired.

Hello Gareth. I opened up a ticket with our support team so we can gather more information from you and take a closer look at what might be going on. Keep an eye on your email for updates.

I have been having the same issue and some of my friends have still been able to use it and I am not. Is there any issues?

    Hey there!
Do you have a commercial or school issued license?

You will want to make sure your licenses are assigned to your user in Admin Center

    Hi,

    I'm having the same problem.

back in 2020 me and my friend got Edu and said it was free, we wouldn't get locked out because we only had to sign in with our school email. now in 2023, it is saying every time I try to log in it says that my trial has ended, where some of my friends from school who also play it with their school emails are still able to play.

I'm not sure if the school has a license but I doubt they have a license. I normally play at home and school. Help I really want to play.

    Thanks.

    Hey Geordi,

Minecraft Education and Minecraft EDU are two separate apps. Confusing, I know. For Minecraft Education, you would need to reach out to your school's IT admin and have them assign a license to your account. If the school has never had Minecraft Education licenses, you are likely trying to sign into the wrong app.

    I hope this helps.

hi um, I have a problem. I'm new here.. others said they have already expired the trial ..but I'm the only one different. did I do something wrong? I check how to log in and there's nothing wrong with mine. I have played for 1 week two days and a day I log in 1-4 times ..but there's no message saying my acc expired and have to pay for playing more ..is there anything wrong with my acc or does Minecraft education have problems?

    Geordi,

It sounds like you may have had your license unassigned to your account. You will need to reach out to your school to have it reassigned to your account.

    Sha,

Doesn't sound like there is an issue. You classmates don't seem to have a license assigned to them. As long as it is working for you there shouldn't be an issue unless your schools administrator's do not want you to have access for some reason.
