    I recommend that you try updating to a newer version of Windows 10 if possible. It may also be worth uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft: Education Edition since it looks like the install may have gone poorly. 

    Is this a school managed device? If so, are you the IT Admin? Either way, it is likely that a firewall is blocking our login services. If it is a school managed device the IT Admin will need to allow list our URLs: FAQ: IT Admin Guide – Minecraft: Education Edition Support

    If it is an unmanaged device, I'd ensure that our app and the ADAL window exe are allowed through any local firewall/antivirus's.
