To play Minecraft: Education Edition (M:EE), each user requires a license which allows them to sign-in to the game on any supported platform. These licenses can be managed through a few different channels, depending on how the licenses were purchased.
For information on purchasing M:EE, see Purchasing Licenses for Minecraft Education Edition.
Prerequisites for managing licenses
In order to purchase and administer licenses, your organization must have an Microsoft 365 Admin center account, and set up accounts for your users. Once an account is assigned a license, a user can login in Minecraft: Education Edition on any machine that is on a supported platform. For more information, see Getting Started with Minecraft Education Edition.
